Care at Advanced Alternative Medicine Center is like building a house - certain things have to happen in a particular order in order for everything to stand strong and work correctly. When building a house, if you tried to put up your walls before you had a solid foundation, your walls would be weak and eventually collapse. If you tried to put on your roof before the walls were ready, you would run into the same problem. The same is true for your body. Your body has to go through a particular plan of care in order to repair itself correctly and fully. There are three general phases of care . . .
Phase 1: Relief Care
If you are in pain when you come into our office, the first objective is to help you feel better. Depending on the severity of your problem, it is typical to need care several times before relief may be fully achieved. With your best interest in mind, getting you out of pain or discomfort is our initial goal. This will naturally lead into the second phase of care.
Phase 2: Corrective/Restorative Care
During the corrective care phase, our focus is on restoring normal function to the underlying cause of your health concern. It is typical to need care 4-8 times a month for 12-18 months, depending on your overall health and the severity of your problem. The number of different components specifically related to your overall condition must be treated in order to truly correct your health concern. It is important that your expectations be realistic for the chronicity of your health condition.
Phase 3: Wellness Care
Once your body has fully healed, it is important to come in for periodic monitoring to avoid problems in the future. Usually, this only requires a routine visit to the office 1-2 times per month, based on your lifestyle and health goals. Having invested this much in your health and wellness, staying for wellness care is both smart and prudent. Dr. Huntoon will encourage you to continue with care to include the Preventative and Lifetime Wellness Phases of care. This is when you will truly become a Health Master. Most Practice Members elect to stay for this level of care, adopting the adage,"An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure." Said differently, "Don't be penny smart and pound foolish." We would look forward to helping you to Masterdom.
